Bryan Gloyd

Jazz Piano

Born and raised near Selkirk Ontario, east of Simcoe, Bryan started music training on piano at age 6, later adding organ. Bryan soon was playing at local churches and community events, becoming a well known entertainer in the area. Jazz piano intrigued Bryan because of its creativity and diversity – developing that talent has become his life-passion.

Initially influenced by Dave Brubeck, Antonio Carlos Jobim and American pianist Dick Hyman, he began incorporating the style of contemporary groups such as Spyro Gyro, further refining his particular jazz-influenced style of playing as well as his repertoire of standards, ballads and show tunes.

Bryan lives in London, Ontario and is in demand for solo and ensemble work both locally and regionally.  He is artistic director of the Aeolian Jazz Series.  Bryan’s recorded work has featured various collaborations and he will be releasing a solo piano album this spring.
