Aeolian’s House Sound & Lighting TechNician: Christoph Babin

Christoph has taught Live Audio and served as a technical maintenance technician at the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART).  For over three decades he worked as a freelance live audio engineer for local production companies and touring bands.  His work has taken him into venues ranging in size from clubs and houses of worship to theatres and arenas.  Each upcoming show is a new delight for Christoph.  He loves cultivating the trust of artists to help them perform at their best.  Christoph is a foundational pillar in the success of Aeolian’s reputation as one of the best venues in Canada.

WHAT WE CAN DO TO HELP YOU MARKET YOUR EVENT:

Website: Our website gets thousands of hits each month and is continually growing in popularity. The website includes an event page with ticket information and artist web links.

Electronic Newsletter: The Aeolian sends out an electronic newsletter on a weekly basis to help market events. It has approximately 9000 subscribers. This is not a guaranteed service and is not part of your rental fee. Please ensure that you are prepared to send us content for our newsletter including copy and images to expedite our inclusion of your event in the newsletter.

Online Ticket Sales: Online ticket sales reach regional audiences through Vendini.com. Links to this service are provided by our website, email newsletter and print materials. Service charges apply for this service.

Printing Services: We provide poster and ticket printing and distribution services at an additional charge.

Box Office: The Aeolian provides full Box Office services from 10 am till 6 pm Monday to Friday and one hour before showtime. Visa, Mastercard, Debit and cash sales are offered as well as online sales as above. Service charges apply.

Services available at a cost of $30/hour

Includes rental of house sound console, lighting board, and other tech equipment. We highly recommend the use of our Aeolian Hall/Cronyn Campus Lighting Technician. Knowledge of the acoustic properties of our spaces and equipment is essential to the success of your event.

Other technicians who wish to use The Aeolian sound console must be approved by management.

We offer you the greatest flexibility in choosing a caterer for your event. Whether you are doing a fundraiser, wedding, party or concert, you are welcome to explore the culinary choices that best suit your event.

If you require assistance in choosing a caterer please contact us as we have experience with various caterers in the area. We will strive to find you the perfect match making your occasion unique and memorable.

We want every event at the Aeolian to be successful and are willing to work with clients to acheive this goal. Stage details

The stage area is multi-functional. A slightly elevated stage is centre front floor, perfect for a recital, orchestra or performance in the round. A further elevated stage and choir loft is on the west end of the hall.

Large vaulted wood ceiling, church pews, a balcony area, transepts and beautiful stained glass make this space a unique place to hold your event.

The Cronyn Theatre seats approximately 300 people.

Bishop Cronyn features a state of the art compact sound system that is perfect for speech, classical, jazz, and lighter acts and artists.  When the need arises, the system can be boosted with additional equipment.
