Born in Brazil, she was inspired by musicians such as Toquinho and Melim. Later, she moved to Canada at the age of 9, where she continued to cultivate her interest in music while embracing brand new opportunities. Alongside starting to take guitar lessons and writing her first songs, she fell in love with musical theatre, performing in more than 20 productions over the years. Musical theatre brought her music a fresh perspective, using every role she played to help her songs tell captivating stories.

Today, Lelê is an artist who writes and produces her own original songs in both Brazilian Portuguese and English, blending heartfelt melodies with a gentle, introspective style. Her music is full of deeply personal storytelling that feels intimate and builds connections with her audiences. Think the energy of Gracie Abrams meets the confessional lyricism of Lizzy McAlpine, with a bit of Brazilian sauce thrown in there.

Whether she’s writing songs, performing on stage, or sharing these moments online, Lelê’s greatest joy has always been connecting with people. She is endlessly grateful for the people that have been supporting her since the beginning and never takes that love for granted. As she continues to develop and share her music, Lelê remains grounded in what first drew people to her work: honesty, warmth, and the simple hope that her songs make you feel understood, and leave your day a little better than they found it.
