Bruce Hoadley – Bio

Bruce Hoadley has been a school music educator, a professional trombonist, a clinician and a worship leader throughout his many years in music.

Originally from Hamilton Ontario, Bruce did not begin playing music until his family moved to Port Alberni on Vancouver Island.  Starting on trombone in grade school, Bruce pursued a Bachelor of Music degree (honours in performance) from the University of Victoria.  Bruce played trombone with the Victoria Symphony, as well as playing and singing with the Pacific Opera before moving to North Vancouver to teach music for the North Vancouver School Board.  Mr. Hoadley was a clinician several times for the British Columbia Music Educators (BCMEA) Conference, and led the Handsworth Secondary Junior Jazz Ensemble to win Gold at the Canadian National Stage Band Festival in 1984.
