A Pride Celebration

As part of this year’s Pride London Festival, we present A PRIDE CELEBRATION, performed by the well-established Pride Men’s Chorus London who will be joined by an all gender choir specifically formed for this concert, Pride Celebration Chorus. The first half of the concert will be solely performed by PMCL, singing songs from the world of pop, rock, world music, and musical theatre. The second half of the concert will be performed by the Pride Celebration Chorus singing songs that reflect the values of Pride: understanding, inclusion, community, and, well, pride. We hope to take you through a roller coaster of emotions, celebrating the victories of the LGBT2Q+ communities and its allies, and recognizing the fights we still have ahead of us. You won’t want to miss this evening of fascinating entertainment!

The chorus was founded by Rod Culham and Clark Bryan, who serve as co-directors. Approximately 40 men sing in the chorus, and we welcome men with all levels of musical knowledge to join us.

Pride Men’s Chorus London is part of a movement of LGBTQ2 Choirs in the world. In 1978 San Francisco’s Gay Men’s Chorus made an unexpected debut after the assassinations of Harvey Milk and George Moscone. Pride Men’s Chorus London made its unexpected debut at the Vigil for The Orlando Massacre hosted at Aeolian Hall on June 14, 2016. In the global arena of eroding human rights and particularly the rights of the LGBTQ2 community, we sing to enlighten and help those with closed minds and hearts to open up and celebrate diversity and love.
