Kerri Ough, Sue Passmore, and Caroline Brooks – immensely talented vocalists and songwriters in their own right; however, it’s their voices interwoven in harmony – powerful and pure, organic and inspiring – that elevates the Good Lovelies from impressive to peerless.
The trio first united in 2006 for a one-off performance and has since compiled a catalogue of four studio albums, a pair of EPs, a live album, and two holiday collections. Through it all, the unmistakable sound of their intertwined voices has been the sonic anchor.
On the road, the Good Lovelies are joined in various configurations by band members Christine Bougie on lapsteel and electric guitar, Robbie Grunwald on keyboards & piano, Steve Zirai on upright bass, and Mark Mariash on Drums. The expansion of the band continues to bring elevated production to the live show, while maintaining a level of intimacy that is much loved by fans.
The Good Lovelies latest releases include Shapeshifters (2018), their most pop-influenced output to date, and Evergreen (2019), a collection of holiday and winter songs to celebrate the annual tradition of a holiday themed tour. Looking ahead, the Good Lovelies will be writing and recording new material alongside other projects such as the Good Lovelies Forest – an initiative that will see more than 2000 thousand trees planted in Ontario, Canada, funded by a portion of CD sales in 2019-2020.
