Donate to El Sistema Aeolian’s Food Program

The Aeolian’s El Sistema program is a free, intense, afterschool music program. As part of the program, we feed youth and children a full, warm dinner and snacks. A warm meal provides both nutrition and community. As costs are increasing for this essential part of the program, we are asking our community for donations of dry goods to help offset them.

Goods can be dropped off to The Aeolian during events or during Box Office hours (Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m.). Our address is 795 Dundas Street, the Box Office entrance is located on Rectory Street. If you can supply a receipt for the goods, that would be great, although not required officially.

Here is a list of dry good items we use regularly:

Dry Pasta (spaghetti, penne, fusilli)
Canned Red Kidney Beans
Canned Black Beans
Canned Chickpeas
Canned Diced tomatoes
Canned Tomato Paste
Canned/Jarred Tomato Sauce
Canned Corn
Dried Lentils

Canned Tuna

We thank you in advance for your consideration for this food drive. Food security is a challenge in today’s world. Many families struggle with food security here in Canada, but often especially newcomer families who make up the largest amount of participants in El Sistema Aeolian.
