London album release show for her new album:

with guests The Early Morning

Show at 8:00pm. Doors at 7:00pm
$20 Advance. $25 Door.

Megan Bonnell is no stranger to The Aeolian. She has performed on the stage several times both opening for and playing with longtime friends of the hall, Great Lake Swimmers. You can even see Megan singing background vocals in GLS’s brand new music video, which was both recorded and filmed inside The Aeolian’s Education Campus inside the former Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church.

However, Megan is far from just a backup singer. An accomplished songwriter in her own right, Megan returns to The Aeolian on April 26, 2018 to release her third solo album titled “Separate Rooms”. The first single, which shares a title with the album, has been climbing the CBC top 20 charts over the past several weeks. Click below to watch the video for “Separate Rooms”. While grounded in the traditions of acoustic guitar and strong songwriting, the album ventures without obstruction into rock, roots, and even new wave genres while always managing to return home to folk music. This album is a fresh take on what it means to be a Canadian singer-songwriter in 2018.

Opening the show are London locals The Early Morning. And it doesn’t get much more local to The Aeolian than this. All four members of the band live in the OEV (Old East Village) and are active in the local community. For example, band member Jim MacDonald can be found every Friday night running The London Brewing Co-op’s “Friday Night Live” music series. Having only been around for less than two years, the band has built an impressive following in the London scene. Their music incorporates elements of folk, rock, with flares of country and soul. While the band is still working on material for a studio release, you can check out their sound by clicking on the live performance video below.

Tickets are available by phone (519.672.7950), in person, (795 Dundas St. East), online (www.aeolinahall.ca), or directly from The Early Morning.
